One glaring issue now is the outsourcing of most recruiting organizations to South Asia. The level of incompetence exhibited by the call center recruiters (calling me as a potential candidate) is remarkable, and maddening. I received exactly 383 emails last week, and over 150 telephone calls from Monster affiliated recruiters that are so far off-base as to be from another planet. The automated search tools they are utilizing are fundamentally flawed as well. Basically, the recruiters work one day selling insurance from call centers in Chennai, then the next recruiting information scientists for LLNL on an IBM contract! Sounds outrageous, however, it's true.

Spot on with this one. One glaring issue now is the outsourcing of most recruiting organizations to South Asia.
